In this role we are looking to hire someone who is based in Malta or Madrid or remote.

Job Description:

We are currently looking to recruit a Lead Technical Product Manager that will own the Product Strategy and Roadmap, coordinating across the business functions to oversee the planning, implementation, controlling and the evaluation of our client’s online products within the casino and sportsbook segment. The Lead Technical Product Manager will work with a cross-functional team with the goal to increase the revenue the products generate. The Lead Technical Product Manager will also cultivate a solid understanding of users, the marketplace, the competition, and future trends for the area/product being developed and maintained, in order to create the best products possible.

The Lead Technical Product Manager will be managing a team of developers (remote and local) and designers together with working closely with the product and commercial team. In this role, you will be reporting to the COO.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Product delivery end to end responsibilities
  • Working alongside the C-Level and their teams to help build, manage and validate tech roadmaps
  • Applying a customer-centric development approach by understanding the full commercial objective of all development
  • Applying “impossible is nothing” development strategy and advise the C-Level on multiple options through cost-benefit analysis
  • Give input on development techniques and system design to internal and external project stakeholders
  • Ensuring continuous project innovation through research and continuous improvement, providing critical and factual inputs for product development
  • Continuously developing and building a progressive learning culture and establishing a predictable model of envisioning, designing, and developing products
  • Growing, delegating and training the product and technical team
  • Being timely and ensuring the quality and accuracy of work delivered
  • Apply best practices to UX/UI and optimising player journeys
  • Ensuring the company’s technology strategy is serving the business strategy 

Your main focus:

  • Managing the product and tech team and the delivery of multiple projects to time and budget
  • Creation of new websites and coordination of our graphic designers and web developers
  • Conversion optimisation, usability optimisation, mobile optimisation, page speed optimisation, on-page SEO mobile optimisation
  • Replication and adjustment/enhancement of existing websites
  • Planning and creation of new websites and plugins
  • Evaluation of new technologies (plugins or standards like HTML5, AMP and Cloud Hosting including identification of advantages and tech trends
  • Supervision and optimisation of IT resources and workflow

Experience:

  • Proven experience working as Product Manager in an online transactional environment
  • Have at least a few years of experience in project management and/or leadership of teams in an IT environment
  • Have experience in usability optimisation, mobile optimisation and SEO
  • Have an affinity for IT (programming skills in HTML, CSS, PHP, WordPress and web design)
  • Solid understanding of affiliate and price comparison websites, iGaming experience is preferred
  • Solid understanding of SEO principles
  • Experience in Analytics and Split Testing
  • Strong knowledge in website development, UX-design, CMS and mobile development
  • Experience working in an AGILE (SCRUM) environment and ideally also worked with WordPress, JIRA and Confluence or similar tools
  • Apply a customer-focused and data-driven approach
  • Excellent communication and a good sense of humour
  • Fluent English (knowledge of the German language would be an asset)
