Job Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Country Manager to drive business growth and market expansion in Angola. The Country Manager will be responsible for developing and executing overall growth initiatives and maintaining relationships with all key local stakeholders, achieving revenue targets in line with company objectives and having overall p/l responsibility for the Angolan business.
Responsibilities:
As Country Manager, your broad responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Maintain relationships with relevant departments of the Gaming Board of Angola to ensure the Company is fully aware of compliance and licensing requirements and provides such assistance as required by the Company in compliance and licensing.
- Oversee the Company's systems for internal compliance and control, codes of conduct and legal compliance.
- Disclose any material information of relevance to the Company's and/or Group's business that comes to the Country Manager's attention.
- Assist and maintain relationships with relevant local stakeholders (MNOs, Banks, Lawyers and Government).
- Closely monitor all competitor activity and ensure all relevant departments are informed.
- Work alongside marketing to ensure all promotions are approved by authorities in a timely manner, source and purchase local media assets, and shape the customer's voice.
- Work closely with the product team to shape a best-in-class offering.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven track record of success in sales management, preferably within the online gaming and gambling industry or related sectors.
- Understanding of the online gaming and gambling market, including regulatory requirements, customer preferences, and competitive landscape.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights.
- Leadership qualities with a focus on motivation, and performance management.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English and Portuguese. Knowledge of other local languages is a plus.
- Willingness to travel.
