Our client is a major player in the iGaming sector, operating across both B2B and B2C domains.
As the Head of Insights and Analytics, you will be instrumental in shaping the company’s strategic growth by working closely with the CEO and senior leadership team. This role requires a combination of deep data expertise and strong commercial acumen, ensuring that insights from the Business Intelligence team are translated into actionable business strategies. You will also collaborate with other data experts across the organisation to drive strategic insights. This role will have a significant impact on evaluating partnerships and advising on key decisions that influence the company’s long-term success.
Responsibilities:
As Head of Insights and Analytics, your broad responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Analyse data received from the Business Intelligence team, using your commercial mindset to identify opportunities and potential risks. Your insights will directly inform marketing, product, operations and investment strategies.
- Regularly present data-driven recommendations to the operational management, translating complex insights into clear, actionable strategies that align with the company's goals. You'll be expected to contribute meaningfully to high-level discussions.
- Actively participate in prospective partnership meetings, where you will scrutinise business cases, questioning assumptions and numbers, and ensuring that all business cases are commercially viable and aligned with strategic priorities.
- Lead the evaluation of new partnerships, assessing the potential for market entry or expansion based on a detailed analysis of ROI, risk, and growth opportunities.
- Continuously monitor market trends, ensuring that the company remains competitive by recommending adjustments to the overall business strategy where needed.
- Track and forecast key performance indicators, ensuring that marketing and business efforts align with financial goals. Flag underperforming metrics early, recommending adjustments to ensure profitability.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and senior leadership, using your insights to guide decision-making processes and ensuring the business remains on track for sustainable growth.
- Collaborate with other analysts across the organisation to integrate insights from different business areas. This collaboration will ensure a holistic approach to business strategy and data-driven decision-making.
- Collaborate with partners to assess and monitor new business opportunities, ensuring they align with the initially set targets and KPIs.
- Work closely with product, marketing, operations and finance teams, identifying opportunities and potential blind spots that others may overlook. You will bring a holistic view to discussions, ensuring all strategic angles are considered.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or any other quantitative field.
- Extensive experience in a senior strategic role, such as business analyst or in a related analytical role with proven commercial acumen and the ability to connect data analysis with business strategy.
- Experience working directly with C-suite executives and participating in high-stakes investment and partnership meetings.
- Ability to translate complex data into business strategies and communicate these effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and interpret large datasets.
- Proficient in using business analysis tools and techniques, such as process mapping, data modelling, and requirements gathering methodologies.
- Expertise in data analysis tools such as SQL, Tableau, and Google Analytics, with the ability to draw actionable insights from large datasets.
- Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets for data analysis and reporting.
- Experience in the iGaming industry is highly required, with knowledge of venture capital or M&A considered a plus.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally, ensuring that strategies are not only data-driven but also commercially viable.
