Our client is a rapidly expanding iGaming group operating a portfolio of successful B2C casino brands across both regulated and international markets. Backed by robust in-house technology, affiliate performance capabilities, and player account management infrastructure, they are entering a pivotal phase of growth. With new licences underway, they are seeking a Chief Marketing Officer to lead their multi-brand marketing strategy and drive high-impact, data-led customer acquisition and retention efforts.
This is a performance-driven executive role focused on acquisition marketing, affiliate growth, and regulated market expansion. The CMO will report directly to the CEO and play a key role in shaping the business strategy across current and future markets.
Location: Malta, Gibraltar, or Sweden
Travel: Occasional international travel, aligned with market expansion and team coordination
Responsibilities:
As Chief Marketing Officer, your broad responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Digital Acquisition & Marketing Strategy
- Lead a multi-channel digital marketing strategy across affiliate, PPC, paid social, and programmatic media.
- Drive performance marketing KPIs with a clear focus on ROI, player acquisition, retention, and lifetime value.
- Build and execute go-to-market strategies for regulated market entries.
- Champion a data-first marketing approach using analytics and BI to support campaign optimisation and budget allocation.
Market Localisation & Licensing Support
- Support licensing processes in regulated markets by developing market-specific marketing strategies and hiring local resources.
- Ensure localisation of marketing messaging, promotional strategies, and content across brands and jurisdictions.
- Align with legal, compliance, and product teams to ensure successful market rollouts and operational readiness.
Team Leadership & Agency Management
- Lead and develop a high-performing marketing organisation
- Manage external agency relationships to ensure delivery is aligned with internal KPIs and expectations.
- Foster a culture of accountability, agility, and innovation across the marketing function.
Cross-Functional Leadership & Executive Contribution
- Work closely with product, compliance, analytics, and operations to align on customer journeys, product-market fit, and campaign performance.
- Represent marketing at the board and executive level, contributing to strategic planning, revenue forecasting, and commercial priorities.
- Develop long-term brand strategy to complement performance goals and elevate brand equity across the portfolio.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a senior marketing leader within the iGaming sector, ideally across multi-brand B2C casino operations.
- Deep expertise in digital performance marketing, including affiliate, PPC, paid social, and CRM.
- Strong understanding of regulated market launches, licensing requirements, and localised marketing strategies.
- Demonstrated success in growing player bases and brand awareness.
- Fluency in a Nordic language is a strong advantage.
- Experience building and scaling marketing teams, while remaining hands-on with key performance and campaign oversight.
- Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to translate data into actionable marketing decisions.
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
- Comfort operating in a fast-paced, remote-first environment with a focus on measurable outcomes.
