Commercial Analyst
Our client is seeking a Commercial Analyst to play a key role in supporting data-informed decision-making across both new ventures and existing operations. This position requires strong commercial acumen combined with advanced analytical skills to assess new business opportunities and continuously track and optimise the performance of live brands.
Location: Malta Hybrid
Responsibilities:
As Commercial Analyst, your broad responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
New Business Case Assessment
- Contribute to the evaluation of new business cases, partnerships, and market entry opportunities.
- Partner with product, marketing, finance, and operations teams to ensure strategies are both data-driven and commercially viable.
- Build and test financial and operational models, ensuring assumptions are robust and return on investment is clear.
- Actively participate in partnership meetings, questioning assumptions and figures to ensure commercial viability and alignment with strategic priorities.
- Collaborate with partners to monitor opportunities, ensuring they meet initial targets and KPIs.
- Take ownership of processes and procedures relevant to your role in partner engagement.
- Present data-driven recommendations to decision-makers, translating complex insights into clear, actionable strategies.
Brand Performance & KPI Monitoring
- Oversee ongoing analysis of brand performance across product, marketing, and financial KPIs.
- Track revenue, player activity, and profitability, flagging underperformance early to prompt timely adjustments in strategy.
- Continuously monitor industry and competitor trends to identify opportunities and risks.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with product, marketing, finance, and operations teams to align strategies with commercial goals and data insights.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field (Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Data Science, or similar).
- Proven experience in a senior analytical or strategic role with a strong commercial orientation.
- Expertise in evaluating business cases, financial modelling, and performance tracking.
- Advanced skills in data tools (e.g. SQL, Tableau, Power BI, Google Analytics).
- Experience in the iGaming industry is highly preferred; exposure to M&A or venture capital is an advantage.
