Our client is a next-generation Web3 iGaming infrastructure platform redefining how operators build, launch, and scale gaming brands. By combining blockchain-based transparency with a premium white-label ecosystem, they are addressing one of the industry’s biggest challenges: trust. Through innovative technology, the platform enables real-time verification of funds, instant transactions, and automated payouts, empowering operators to deliver faster, more transparent, and more engaging player experiences.
Following strong early momentum, they are now looking for a hands-on commercial leader to drive partnerships, revenue growth, and market expansion. This role is ideally suited to someone currently operating as a Head of Sales, Commercial Director, or similar within an iGaming platform/provider, who is looking to step into a broader, more strategic role with real ownership and a clear path toward CCO.
Location: Malta (hybrid)
Travel: International travel for partner meetings and events
Role Overview
The Commercial Director will be responsible for driving global B2B growth, leading partnership development, and shaping the commercial direction of the business.
A key focus of the role will be building and executing a scalable go-to-market strategy, developing a strong pipeline of operator partnerships, and closing high-value commercial deals. The role requires a hands-on approach to sales, combined with the ability to contribute to broader commercial strategy, including market positioning, pricing models, and expansion planning.
Working closely with the CEO and Product teams, the successful candidate will ensure strong alignment between market needs and platform capabilities, helping to refine the offering and maximise commercial impact. As the business grows, this role will play a central part in building and scaling the commercial function, with a clear progression path toward a C-level position.
Responsibilities:
As Commercial Director, your broad responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Strategic Leadership & Commercial Ownership
Own and drive the global commercial strategy, with full responsibility for revenue growth, P&L, and long-term profitability
Partner closely with the CEO and C-suite to align commercial initiatives with overall company strategy
Build scalable commercial frameworks suited for a high-growth, infrastructure-led business
Growth, Partnerships & Market Expansion
Lead global expansion efforts, identifying and executing new market opportunities across regulated and emerging jurisdictions
Drive B2B growth through strategic partnerships with operators, affiliates, and key ecosystem players
Build and manage a strong pipeline of partners leveraging the platform’s infrastructure capabilities
Monitor industry trends across iGaming and Web3 to identify new revenue opportunities
Product & Commercial Alignment
Work closely with Product and Tech teams to ensure strong product-market fit and competitive offerings
Translate partner and market needs into actionable product and commercial improvements
Support go-to-market strategies for new features and platform capabilities
Team Leadership & Development
Build, lead, and scale high-performing commercial, partnership, and marketing teams
Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and innovation
Ensure teams are equipped with the right structure, tools, and leadership to succeed
External Representation
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and key partner meetings
Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic partners and stakeholders
Position the business as a leading player within the evolving Web3 iGaming space
Requirements:
Experience & Skills
Proven experience in a senior commercial leadership role (Head of Sales, Commercial Director, or similar) within iGaming or the Crypto industry.
Strong understanding of the iGaming ecosystem, including KPIs, player lifecycle, and revenue drivers
Experience with B2B or platform-based business models is highly desirable
Exposure to Web3, crypto, or blockchain is a strong advantage
Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth, partnerships, and market expansion
Strong analytical and financial acumen, with data-driven decision-making capabilities
